I read Peter Thiel's book Zero to One recently. It took about 6 hours for a fast read, but it made an impression. Here is the takeaway I'd like to emphasize (paraphrasing):
The future will be better than the present if we plan and work to make it better. This is the definition of "definite optimism." It historically has allowed each generation's visionaries to surpass their predecessors.
In this VUCA time we live in, we need definite optimists now more than ever. Count me in.
